The Costa degli Dei, also known as the ‘Costa Bella,’ is one of the most precious gems of Calabria. It stretches for about 55 km along the Tyrrhenian coast of the province of Vibo Valentia, offering an irresistible mix of breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque historic villages. Here is a guide on what to see and do during a visit to this stunning area.

1. Tropea:

Let’s start with the ‘Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea,’ Tropea. This town is famous for its houses perched on the cliffs and its white sandy beach lapped by turquoise waters. Stroll through its narrow streets and discover medieval churches, such as the Cathedral of Maria Santissima di Romania, and historic buildings. A visit to the iconic Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell’Isola is a must: located on a small island, it offers a spectacular view of the coastline and the Aeolian Islands in the distance.

2. Capo Vaticano:

To the south of Tropea lies Capo Vaticano, one of the most beautiful and scenic locations on the coast.
